How times flies! The CIF 2013 (Canadian Internet Forum) national event is upon us once again. Seems like only yesterday I was posting about the 2012 forum.
If you are already in the Ottawa area it's easy to attend, or else start making your plans to be there at the end of February. If you can't attend in person, there will also be a webcast.
Here is the notice I received this week:
The CIF is Canada's leading event that brings together domestic and international experts to discuss and debate the hot topics that help shape the Canadian Internet landscape. Featuring panels and sessions where participants can discuss hot topics such as Internet governance and digital literacy, the CIF is another great way for .CA members to have a say in how the Internet is developed in Canada.
When is it? February 28, 2013, 9am to 5pm ET
Cost to attend?: Free. In order to ensure that all interested are able to attend, we have made this event free of charge!
Space is limited. Register now! The deadline to register is February 26, 2013 .
For those unable to attend, it will be made available via webcast.
For those unable to attend, it will be made available via webcast.
This is the third year that CIRA will be hosting a national dialogue on the development of the Internet in Canada.
To get a view of what may be discussed that day, check the Final Report of the 2012 CIF.
As well, for a snapshot of what the Internet landscape is like today, you can view the 2013 Factbook , a compendium of facts and figures on the global Internet and. CA's place therein.
