A total of 105 .ca domains were taken in this week's TBR. Two short domains topped the list, with NPP.ca in first and KJR.ca in second. There were some interesting and catchy names in this week's list, but nothing super premium in my opinion.
One .ca domain sale caught my eye in the past week:
DundurnCastle.ca - $700 US - sold at Sedo
I've never heard of Dundurn castle before, and I assumed it was probably a castle in England, Scotland or Ireland. It's actually a national historic site located in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada and you can find out more about it by visiting the domain name, which now forwards to the Dundurn castle attraction page on Hamilton.ca. Sometimes domaining can be educational.
Short .CO Domains going, going ...
By now most domainers are aware that all NNN.co, LLL.co and NNNN.co domains are registered. I also started looking into Chinese premium letter LLLL.co with strong patterns. What I found was that all AAAB.co, BBBA.co and AABB.co pattern type 4L.co domains are registered that include Chinese premium letters only. Some LLLL.co are available in these patterns if you include letters a, e, i, o, u and v. In the domain forums I've started to see a few NNN.co and LLL.co wanted threads. Typically LLL.co wanted threads are offering up to $50 to $60 per domain, but that isn't too bad considering earlier this year there were LLL.co available to hand register. I think short .co will be an interesting niche to follow in the coming months, as they are already gaining some traction. The ones I've been registering mostly have good Chinese-demand letters/numbers, and patterns, double 8's or 5's, etc. My last regs were a few LNN.co's.
